Join Literacy Lambton’s Summer Reading Buddies program!

Our dedicated Big Buddy volunteers are helping young readers grow and discover the joy of reading.

Children entering Grades 1–6 in September 2026 can enjoy free, weekly 30-minute reading sessions with a Big Buddy.

 Program Details:

• When: Weekly sessions in July through August
• Choose between mornings – Mon, Wed, Fri 10am-12noon or evenings Tu or Th 5-7pm
• The pairs meet at the same time every week through the summer.
• Where: Downtown Sarnia Library (124 Christina St. South)
• Cost: Free

This program is designed to give kids reading practice and build their confidence—it is not a learn-to-read program.

Note: A parent or guardian must stay nearby during the session. This is not a drop-off program, and sessions run on a tight schedule.
