Children's Literacy Programs

Train Your Brain

This math and language literacy program is free to Gr. 3&4 students. Registration is capped at 25 participants/site.

Through the use of play-based activities, children gain confidence, wellness habits, learning tips and practice improving their math and reading skills.

Location and availability varies throughout Lambton County over the year. Each Winter, Spring and Fall Session runs for 8 weeks. 

Each program is staffed by a paid Head Coach and volunteer adult and teenaged Trainers.

Literacy Lambton organizes and hosts programs throughout the year. Some events are ongoing while others take place seasonally.

Baby Bookworms

This project sees every new baby born at Bluewater Health gifted with a literacy welcome . The Bluewater Health Maternal Infant Child nursing  team places a handmade bookbag of books, tips and community resources inside each hospital crib.

Give-A-Book

Help promote a child’s love of reading by donating a new book to our Christmas campaign. All books go to a baby, child or youth in Sarnia-Lambton.

Give a Book 2022 resulted in 3,787 new books donated through 34 partners.
